Building Luxembourg since 1949, from foundations to keys

Soludec, short for Société Luxembourgeoise d’Entreprises et de Construction, was created in 1949 and started with production halls for ARBED and Goodyear. Today it is an independent company owned by its management, with around 395 staff and an operations centre at the Gadderscheier business park in Niederkorn with 2,950 m² of offices, 3,450 m² of covered storage and 14,500 m² of yard. As general contractor it builds residential ensembles, office and administrative buildings, industrial and commercial halls, schools, sports facilities and healthcare buildings, in design-and-build or turnkey mode, with its own formwork systems, 15 tower cranes, excavators and site vehicles for the structural works. Its civil-engineering references include the Pétange wastewater treatment plant, the cable-stayed bridge over the Alzette, the Micheville tunnel and the Pont Adolphe cycle path. It also renovates and converts existing buildings and develops its own residential and office projects. Since 2023 a dedicated geothermal department with two drilling rigs bores down to 200 m to heat and cool buildings. Projects follow an ISO 14001 environmental management system and target A and A+ energy classes.
